integrate info lit skills with web presence

State Library

used to have no web stuff now 3 blogs, 8 wikis - ideas sharing for young ppls services, better beginnings blog to share ideas for early literacy support in public libraries. internal wikis for procedures; graduate wiki. New better begininings wiki, public libraries handbook wiki will replace old hardcopy handbook, aging workforce project and others.

WA health libraries wiki

until recently no web presence, now have 1 wiki, 9 independent libraries so wiki allows them to work collaboratively. Use internal one called docuwiki because can't host anything offsite. docuwiki doesn't require a database in the background. mostly just use it for document exchange, collaborative projects, procedures and reference info, LMS update files and manuals. Also using for tips, how tos, suggestions, product news, minutes. Mostly working well but some issues getting people to adopt it and learn using it and to overcome habit of using old ways.

Curtin University Library blog

started 2005, initially few comments only spam now lots of comments no spam. Students enjoy opportunity to offer their opinions and participate. Comments aren't moderated. let faculty know about new books and library classes. good place to offer tips. rss feed from blog goes straight into student portal.

Also have a staff blog
